| Bio: | Welcome to the online home of the Redwood Pack. Who/what is the Redwood Pack you ask? The Redwood pack is the end result of almost 20 years of wolfdog/wolf-hybrid rescue thanks to Brandon. Harry is the new veterinary component to the equation and has been involved for 10 years. The Redwood Pack specifically refers to our pack of 7 high content wolfdogs we currently own/manage. This journal serves as a source of information pertaining to their behavior, photos of the pack members themselves, photos and discussion of current rescue projects, and lastly as a fund raiser for both the redwood pack and other rescues we are involved with. Donations are always appreciated and often times we offer various products to support the pack and our current rescue ability. All donations/purchases from items presented in this journal will go to support the following: Health care for the pack and rescues - This includes vaccines, medication, and other veterinary related needs. The newest health care needs are related to a mid percentage wolfdog/wolf-hybrid rescue from the Los Altos, Ca area. Pen rebuilding, reinforcement and expansion - We hope to soon reinforce the front main section of our enclosure and build a walkway in the upper section of our enclosure to better provide public visits and education. New Rescues - At this time our rescue ability is limited to finding and redirecting wolves and wolfdogs/wolf-hybrids in need. Limited housing/containment is a major concern for any rescue facility and we are no different. With support from others we can forage ahead in building new enclosures to provide homes for those in need temporary sanctuary while we guide them to a permanent home. Lastly, any extra proceeds above our initial goals (haven't had that yet) go directly to other wolf related organizations/rescues to help support other facilities. Killian is the mischevious and highly intelligent alpha male, Phelan is the dopey/obnoxious loner beta male, Mrs. B is the playful yet highly dominant alpha female, Pinefire is the extremely sweet but also extremely jealous beta female, Aiko is the quiet yet inquisitive mid ranking female, and Gurty is another mid ranking female that was separated from the pack for her safety due to dominance issues. Gurty is quite adept at stealing food and getting into trouble so this is for the best for her and she gets much more house time now. Shy is currently the omega of the pack and is the doting mother. Bodie (The father to the pack who recently passed away in May 2005 at 15+ years of age after a difficult battle with nasal cancer)  Ghost (female redwood pack member placed at 6 weeks of age in mid 2001)  Paleface (female redwood pack member who unfortunately passed away in early 2003 but will never be forgotten)  Wookie (Harry's male rottweiler mix that gets to play with pack members in the house)  Tatyana (a rescue female terrier mix who was hit by a car in early 2005, but is now fully recovered and gets to play with the more social pack members in the house)  Trout (a rescued geriatric male wolfdog from the Aromas area that has been living with us since 2006. Trout enjoys our 50 x 50 rescue enclosure and has visits with other rescues as well as Gurty and Tatyana)  Elko (our newest puppy addition who is set to be an ambassador animal for our efforts. He will not be joining the pack but will have interactions with them individually. Elko's main friends will be Wookie, Gurty, and Tatyana in the house)  | |||||
